I have been so stressed because of work lately so I haven’t been getting the time to work on Menma properly and when I do get time, I am tired and only have the energy to draw one page per week which saddens me.

This page might not look so good but its moving the plot at least! Let me know what you think in the comments!

YAY FOR 200 FOLLOWERS!!!

Posting some old design experiments for Menma to mark this milestone in my short tumblr career. I wrote this story earlier this year which was a very dark time in my life but I’m so glad I did. The positive response I got has made me even more determined to see this story to the end.

I have been swamped by work lately which is why there might not be an update this week. I am also working on something I have always wanted to do which is to start my own store.

So I wanted opinions from you guys. I posted something about it yesterday but took the post down because I thought the initial designs weren’t good enough.

What do you guys think? Should I open a store with narusaku merch and possibly for other animes as well, like haikyuu and my hero academia? Leave a comment for me down below or send me advice in that “ask me anything” option.

Progress is slow but I’m slowly getting there… I’ve planned about 10 chapters for this story and I feel frustrated when I can’t find the time to work on more then one page!

Menma doesn’t know who his parents are and hes looking for them.. you might think it seems obvious but a ninja must read whats underneath the underneath! ;)

My sincerest apologies to all my followers, I hope they can find it in them to forgive me! TWTd

Anyways, heres something for the first chapter.. I am still inking the bloody thing, backgrounds take forever and I am hell bent on studying them as closely as possible! All backgrounds are taken from the original manga, I have redrawn them and even traced some of the more difficult parts to study perspective and the hatching on them. My aim is to draw enough of them until I can draw them in my sleep.

With that disclaimer out of the way, I think I have a strong start for the story here.. I redrew the whole chapter because I found it difficult to transition from the flashback to the present day storyline.. this also takes place right after the chunin exams so while Menma is looking for a job, Boruto and the gang are out fighting that Ao guy..

Also, who here is willing to bet that SP will give Hinata a super dramatic fight scene when she rushes off to save Naruto during the chunin exam since they are basically doing a rerun of the Boruto movie? XD .. leave a comment down below!

And now for some update on the doujinshi, guys…….. I’m rewriting it! TWT

The previous pages I posted were really drawn on a whim with no plan or preparation.. I was having trouble with paneling and how I should proceed with the story… turns out it wasn’t a good idea to start with a flashback.. Lesson learned!

But this time I’ve done my research! I’m rereading the manga and studying kishis panels real close so now I have the entire chapter draw and its only I matter of time before I ink all of it! So stay tune!

This is a rare, happy Deku, reblog to start your new year with a smash! :D

I kid, I kid.. Boku no Hero Academia has become one of my most favorite manga series of all time… I remember thinking when the first chapter was released that this manga would become a huge success and look at it now, its going on its third or fourth season!

Shonen manga has always inspired me ever since I was little.. In fact, if it weren’t for shonen manga, I wouldn’t have become an artist at all! Those cheesy messages of team work and never giving up really hit me hard back in the early 2000s. Yeah, I really saw myself as the typical struggling, underdog protagonist, of any typical shonen manga.

But through hardwork and determination I was able to come this far so thank you to everyone who has liked and reblogged my work and will do so in the future! I am in your hypothetical debt!
